Is it winter?
This morning it is drizzling and cold. Well not cold, cold, but enought to snuggle with a lap blanket and know I can drink coffee all through the day. Bums me out though because I was going to walk down to the grocery store or attempt the bus again. It'll have to wait until tomorrow, if it's not raining then, which I think it might. I'm already bored with the tv, so I guess I'm going to have to work upstairs today. One more week of free time though and then it's back to the grind.

Sounds like you are busy enough getting situated and meeting people. Winter is coming though.
Remember when you cook that it is 13,000 there, more like cooking on top of Mt Baldy as opposed to sea level like Fontana, will likely need to cook food longer and/or at higher temp.
We like boiled eggs for breakfast(will keep several days)and at times I cook ahead too.
A tip for cooking ahead --- Buy a good sized package of hamburger meat and cook it up like for tacos.
Let cooked meat cool off, frig is good and then pack in portions needed in several ziploc bags. DATE for sure and then lay bags flat in the freezer, saves space.
When you want to make tacos, soup, spegetti, goulash, mac and cheese with meat, etc. you pull out a baggy, empty into almost finished dish to thaw and heat. I use this method a lot. I pack 1 1/2 cups in a bag for us-- you probably need maybe 3/4 cup per pack.
Also many dishes can be completely cooked and thawed later.
We had a good day yesterday. Linda sang two specials at church. A tree had fallen on DJs SUV, did some pretty good damage, the city will have to pay as she had parked it on the street. I talked to your Mom a good while this weekend. She just sent me some pictures you sent her.
My chores loom large today, always on Mondays.I have been rearranging furniture the last two weeks. And the lawns need mowing. Dub hasnt been able to do that yet. But his knee is better so maybe he can help. So--- on to my housework etc. Love, Meemaw
