labor day

I had every intention of finishing up my reading for this week today...
Last night I weeded my flower bed. I took out everything but 3 tomato plants (which will go as soon as the tomotoes turn red and I can pick them) and I had one purple flower. Of course, I did this at almost 9 last night and got ate up by bugs. I think I also screwed up my sinuses, because I woke up sneezing and with bad sinus pressure. Although, it could have been my neighbors massive fire he had going last night. I had a horrible night of sleep because of him. The last time I checked it was 1:30 and the fire was roaring. He kept hacking, and then they were all talking out there. I put on headphones to drown them out, but then couldn't fall asleep because I was too into the music. But I could smell the fire all night. So between weeding the flower bed and the fire, my sinuses hurt today. So I took some medicine around 11, and fell asleep until 2. Oops, so much for being productive!
So I'm actually down to finishing the reading for the undergrad class I'm graded papers for and reading in the book I am supposed to review for class next week. I'm doing alright I guess.
My official holiday on my own. I made potato salad, minus celery because I forgot you need that. I have some eggs ready to make deviled eggs, and I bought hot dogs, so there's my labor day feast. I just wish I could stop yawning...

I'm sure your neighbors will think you're a nutty CA girl now, weeding at 9pm! We didn't do much for labor day. I slept till 3pm, Ryan took the boys to swim at Cari's then to the park were we went for the Egg Hunt and let them play in the splash pad there. I made chicken tacos, rice and guacamole and chips, not very labor day meal at all. I can't believe on teh 15th, we'll have lived here a year already! I'm so anxious to have this baby! He's so big! I go to the dr on Wed. Evan's doing good sleeping on the bottom bunk now, he told Ryan to get out of his room so he could take his nap yesterday. Have a good week at school.
