literally frozen

ok so now I know in the mornings to go out and start my car early. Stupid me...I had time to kill before I leave, which is usually at 8:30. So I stick my head out the back door and see the neighbor's dog shivering to death, and then hear a kitten meowing. I heard that kitten when I was waking up and thought, man it's too cold for a kitty to be out this morning! So I saw that I wasn't hearing things, started calling it, and he started coming to me. Then I noticed, oh wow there is frost on the grass! So I walk closer to the kitty, and he was a cute little guy, really playful, but didn't trust me enough to pet him, so I finally figured, eh it's time to go to school.
I open my front door and see there is ice on my car. Crap! So I get it, start the car, sit for a bit, and realize, this isn't going to work. So I went back in the house, found my ice scraper, scraped some ice while the car was warming up. It totally threw me off. At least tomorrow I don't have to be up to school until noonish. I forgot I have papers to grade. I wanted to go early enough though to get my flu shot early.
Other than that, I have to call Kaiser about my coverage again, and still working on getting my car registered. Plus I'm thinking about checking out a yoga video on netflix, see if anything is worth working on.

Oh, Babe I hate to tell you but it will get below zero there! So get ready for it. Dont put warm water on your windshield, it will crack the glass, be sure about the water drips in the plumbing. Heat rises so maybe your bedroom will stay warmer. I think you said you have all electric not any gas? Plan for higher electic bills for sure. Do you have a shovel to dig out your car? If not better ask what is needed and get one ahead of time. I think snow stays on the ground a long time there. You will need some waterproof boots or shoes too. Isnt it fun? I dont know about snow things for your tires but ask around about that. They have snow tires I think but not sure about that. Ask Susie, didnt they live in Big Bear?
We are up and thinking about moving around haha. Love, Meemaw
